- 1 cup Heavy Whipping Cream (Essential for a fluffy texture.)
- 4 ounces Cream Cheese (Ensure it’s softened for easier mixing.)
- 1/2 cup Powdered Sugar (Adjust to taste.)
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract (Use pure vanilla for best results.)
- 1 teaspoon Lemon Zest (Brightens the flavor.)
- 8 slices White Bread (Choose soft bread for the best texture.)
Instructions
- Wash and hull the strawberries, pat dry, and slice them into thin rounds.
- Whip the cream cheese in a bowl until light and fluffy.
- Gradually add the heavy whipping cream, vanilla, and powdered sugar to the whipped cream cheese and whip until stiff peaks form.
- Gently fold in the lemon zest into the cream mixture.
- Spread the creamy filling on half of the white bread slices, then top with arranged strawberry slices.
- Top with the remaining slices of bread and press gently.
- Score a diagonal line across the top of each sandwich.
- Wrap tightly in plastic wrap, and chill in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours.
- Unwrap, trim crusts if necessary, and cut into the desired portions before serving.
Notes
- These sandwiches are best served chilled.
- Feel free to adjust the sweetness by varying the amount of powdered sugar.
