Description
A rich and creamy sauce perfect for burgers and sandwiches.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup mayonnaise
- 2 tablespoons ketchup
- 1 tablespoon yellow mustard
- 2 tablespoons finely chopped dill pickles
- 1 teaspoon pickle juice
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon onion powder
- ½ teaspoon smoked paprika
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon sugar
Instructions
- Start with the creamy base a medium bowl, add the mayonnaise. This creates the rich, smooth foundation that carries all the flavors.
- Add the classic burger flavors in the ketchup and yellow mustard. As you mix, you’ll see that familiar pale pink color develop — the signature look of diner-style burger sauce.
- Incorporate the tang the finely chopped dill pickles and pickle juice. This step is what gives the sauce its bright, slightly sharp bite. I like to chop the pickles very fine so you get flavor in every bite without overpowering texture.
- Season to perfection in the garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, black pepper, and sugar. Stir thoroughly until completely smooth and evenly combined.
- Let it rest and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving. This resting time allows the flavors to meld together and deepen. If you can wait an hour, it’s even better.
Notes
- This sauce is perfect for burgers, sandwiches, or as a dip for fries.
