- 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 4 cloves fresh garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup good-quality honey
- 1/4 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice
- 1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1/2 tsp freshly ground black pepper
- 2 green onions, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Prep the chicken by patting it dry with paper towels.
- In a bowl, whisk together honey, lemon juice, soy sauce, minced garlic, and olive oil until combined.
- Place the chicken in a resealable bag or shallow dish and pour the marinade over it. Marinate in the fridge for at least 30 minutes.
- Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add oil if needed and cook the marinated chicken for about 5-7 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through (165°F).
- Remove the chicken from the skillet and pour in leftover marinade; simmer for 3-4 minutes until thickened.
- Slice the chicken, drizzle with sauce, and garnish with chopped green onions before serving.

- For a spicier version, add red pepper flakes to the marinade.
