- 12 oz fresh or frozen cheese tortellini
- 1 lb lean ground beef
- 24 oz marinara sauce
- 4 oz cream cheese (softened)
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Cook tortellini in salted boiling water according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- In a skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat until no longer pink; drain excess fat.
- Stir in garlic powder, Italian seasoning, marinara sauce, and cream cheese until well blended.
- Gently fold in the cooked tortellini until coated.
- Transfer the mixture to a greased baking dish; top with shredded mozzarella.
- Bake uncovered for 25-30 minutes until bubbly and golden brown.
Notes
- This recipe can be made with frozen tortellini, just increase the cooking time slightly as needed.
- Feel free to add vegetables such as spinach or bell peppers for added nutrition.
