Description

Ingredients

  • 1 cup eggnog
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 3 egg yolks
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg

Instructions

  1. In a medium saucepan, whisk together eggnog, sugar, and egg yolks until smooth.
  2. Add cornstarch and whisk again until no lumps remain.
  3. Place over medium heat, stirring constantly until mixture thickens (about 8–10 minutes).
  4. Remove from heat. Stir in butter, vanilla, cinnamon, and nutmeg until fully melted and smooth.
  5. Let it cool slightly, then transfer to clean jars. Chill in refrigerator before serving.
