- 1 cup eggnog
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 3 egg yolks
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
Instructions
- In a medium saucepan, whisk together eggnog, sugar, and egg yolks until smooth.
- Add cornstarch and whisk again until no lumps remain.
- Place over medium heat, stirring constantly until mixture thickens (about 8–10 minutes).
- Remove from heat. Stir in butter, vanilla, cinnamon, and nutmeg until fully melted and smooth.
- Let it cool slightly, then transfer to clean jars. Chill in refrigerator before serving.
