Ingredients

- 8 oz pasta (spaghetti or fettuccine)
- 4 cloves fresh garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup freshly grated parmesan cheese
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter
- 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Cook the Pasta: Boil salted water in a large pot and cook pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain, reserving some pasta water.
- Sauté the Garlic: In a skillet over medium heat, melt butter. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant but not burnt.
- Create the Sauce: Stir in heavy cream and simmer gently. Season with salt and pepper.
- Add Parmesan: Whisk in grated parmesan until melted and smooth.
- Combine: Toss cooked pasta in the sauce, adding reserved pasta water as needed for desired consistency.
- Garnish & Serve: Top with chopped parsley and serve immediately.
Notes
- This dish can be customized with vegetables or proteins like chicken or shrimp.
- For a lighter version, use half-and-half instead of heavy cream.
