Enjoy this homemade version of the classic Big Mac burger, complete with special sauce and all the fixings.

- 4 oz ground beef (80/20)
- 1 1/2 sesame seed burger buns
- 2 slices American cheese
- 1/2 cup shredded iceberg lettuce
- 4 pickle slices
- 1 tablespoon finely chopped onion
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 1 tablespoon yellow mustard
- 2 tablespoons sweet pickle relish
- 1 teaspoon white vinegar
- 1/8 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/8 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/8 teaspoon paprika
- Butter for toasting buns
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix mayonnaise, mustard, relish, vinegar, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika to make the Big Mac sauce. Chill while prepping other ingredients.
- Form two 2-ounce beef patties and press them thin. Cook in a hot skillet for 2 minutes per side until browned.
- Butter the buns lightly and toast them cut side down in a skillet until golden. Don’t forget the extra bottom bun as the middle layer.
- On the bottom bun, add Big Mac sauce, lettuce, cheese, and a patty. Add the middle bun, more sauce, lettuce, pickles, onion, and second patty. Top with the sesame bun.
- Press gently and serve hot with fries or onion rings.
