- 2 ½ cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- ½ cup brown sugar, packed
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- ½ tsp salt
- 2 cups powdered sugar (for glaze)
- 3 tbsp milk (for glaze)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.
- In a large mixing bowl, cream the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
- Beat in the eggs one at a time along with vanilla extract until fully combined.
- Gradually mix in the dry ingredients until just combined; do not overmix.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly. Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown around the edges.
- For the glaze, whisk powdered sugar with milk until smooth and drizzle over cooled bars.
