- 1 lb beef sirloin, sliced thinly against the grain
- 1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce
- 2 tbsp brown sugar
- 1 tbsp sesame oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 green onions, chopped
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 Asian pear (optional), grated
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, minced garlic, and black pepper until sugar dissolves.
- Add sliced beef to the marinade and toss to coat. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes or overnight.
- Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and cook marinated beef in batches until browned (about 4–5 minutes).
- During the last minute of cooking, add chopped green onions to the skillet.
- Serve immediately over steamed rice or in lettuce wraps.
