- ½ cup unsalted butter (softened)
- 4 large eggs (room temperature)
- 1 cup whole milk
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 4 cups powdered sugar (for frosting)
- ½ cup heavy cream (for frosting)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a sheet pan with non-stick spray.
- In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt until combined.
- Melt the butter and let it cool slightly. Add the melted butter to the dry ingredients along with eggs, milk, and vanilla extract. Mix until smooth.
- Pour the batter into the prepared sheet pan and spread it evenly. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean.
- While the cake cools, whisk powdered sugar and heavy cream in a separate bowl until smooth.
- Once the cake is completely cooled, frost generously with the prepared icing.
