Description

A delicious chocolate chip pie topped with Easter candies, perfect for celebrating the season!

Ingredients

Scale
  • ½ cup butter (1 stick or 4 ounces)
  • ¾ cup brown sugar
  • ¼ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1⅓ cups all-purpose flour
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ½ cup chocolate chips
  • ¾ cup chocolate Easter candies, divided

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Pan and Oven: Preheat the oven to 350°F. Spray a 9-inch pie plate generously with non-stick cooking spray and set aside.
  2. Melt the Butter: Place the butter in a large microwave-safe bowl and melt until just liquefied.
  3. Mix the Sugars: Stir the brown sugar and granulated sugar into the melted butter until smooth.
  4. Add Egg and Vanilla: Mix in the egg and vanilla extract until fully combined.
  5. Combine Dry Ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
  6. Make the Dough: Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and stir just until combined.
  7. Add Chocolate and Candy: Fold in the chocolate chips and ½ cup of the Easter candies, reserving the rest for topping.
  8. Fill the Pan: Spread the dough evenly into the prepared pie plate and smooth the top.
  9. Bake: Bake for about 25 minutes, until the edges are golden and the center is just set.
  10. Decorate and Cool: Remove from the oven and gently press the remaining candies onto the surface while warm. Allow to cool before slicing.
