Description

Ingredients

  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 3 large egg whites at room temperature

  • 1/2 tsp pink food coloring (gel)
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter, room temperature
  • 6 oz bittersweet chocolate, finely chopped
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 300°F (150°C). Line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, sift almond flour and powdered sugar together until fine.
  3. In another bowl, beat egg whites until soft peaks form, then gradually add granulated sugar and whip until glossy.
  4. Gently fold in pink food coloring and the sifted dry ingredients until just combined—avoid overmixing.
  5. Pipe small circles onto the prepared baking sheets; tap gently to release air bubbles.
  6. Bake for 15-18 minutes until firm.
  7. For the ganache, heat cream until steaming; pour over chopped chocolate and let sit for 5 minutes before stirring smooth.
  8. Pair similar-sized macaron shells and pipe chocolate ganache between them.
